Details
The controller has been programmed to make the beacon light dimmable in two positions: 3%, 10% or 100%. This avoid dazzling the pilot during the final stages of the approach and landing. Where a heliport beacon is likely to dazzle pilots at short range, it may be switched off during the final stages of the approach and landing, by operating the controller.
